À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Introduces New AI Programs to Prepare Students for Tech Careers

Artificial intelligence is changing how people work, build software, and use data. To help students prepare for these changes, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ has introduced new AI-focused learning opportunities across its technology programs.

Students can now gain real-world AI skills through three programs:

  • AI Full Stack Certificate (New)
  • Business Intelligence Engineering AAS (Data + AI tools)
  • Software Engineering BAS (Now includes AI concepts)

These programs help students build practical skills for today’s fast-growing tech careers.

New: AI Full Stack Certificate

The AI Full Stack Certificate is a new program designed to teach students how to build AI-powered applications from start to finish. This program is unique because it focuses on AI development, not just using AI tools.

What Makes This Program New and Different?

This program requires no coding experience, teaches both frontend and backend development, and focuses on building real AI features like:

  • Chatbots
  • AIAgents
  • Data pipelines

Students learn popular technologies like Python, JavaScript, React, and modern AI frameworks. Companies are adding AI features to websites and apps. This program prepares students to build those features, not just use them.

Data Meets AI: Business Intelligence Engineering

The Business Intelligence Engineering AAS (63 credits) combines data analytics, software development, and modern AI tools to prepare students to help organizations make smarter, data-driven decisions. Students learn how to collect, organize, analyze, and visualize data while building technical solutions that support business growth and innovation.

This program provides hands-on experience with programming, databases, networking, cybersecurity, agile project management, and artificial intelligence. Students will develop the technical and analytical skills needed to work in modern data and AI careers.

BIE courses

In This Program You Will Learn

  • Ethical and social impacts of artificial intelligence
  • AI-powered full-stack application development
  • AI operations, analytics, and product management
  • AI model training and deployment
  • Data pipelines and enterprise AI workflows
  • How to use AI tools to analyze data and solve real-world business problems

Now with AI Skills: Software Engineering

The Software Engineering BAS prepares students for one of the most in-demand career paths in technology — and now includes practical AI skills alongside its core engineering curriculum. Today’s software industry is evolving rapidly with artificial intelligence, and this program prepares students with both traditional software engineering skills and practical AI knowledge. Students gain experience in programming, software development, cybersecurity, networking, databases, and AI-driven technologies used in modern applications.

Software engineering courses

Courses in the program include:

  • CSAI100- AI Ethical and Social Impacts
  • CSAI380- AI Operations
  • CSAI381- AI Product Management and Analytics
  • CSAI382- AI Model Training
  • CSAI481- AI Data Pipelines

Together, these courses give students a working understanding of how AI systems are built, trained, and deployed in real software environments — skills that are increasingly expected across software engineering roles.

Students learn how AI is integrated into modern software systems and applications. This helps graduates stay current and competitive in a rapidly changing job market. In this program, students will:

  • Build a strong foundation in coding and software development
  • Learn agile workflows and software engineering practices
  • Develop skills in databases, networking, and cybersecurity
  • Explore how AI systems are trained, deployed, and managed
  • Gain technical skills that apply across many industries
  • Prepare for a wide range of software engineering and AI-related careers

This program is best for students who want a long-term career in software engineering while developing the AI skills employers increasingly expect.

How These AI Programs Compare

Each program includes AI differently:

Program AI Focus Main Goal
AI Full Stack Certificate Build AI applications Hands-on AI development from day one
Software Engineering BAS AI integrated into software systems Long-term career in software + AI
Business Intelligence Engineering AAS AI applied to data and analytics Data-driven decisions using AI tools

FAQ

Can international students take the AI Full Stack certificate?
International students cannot declare the AI Full Stack certificate. However, all the classes in the certificate are included in the 4-year Software Engineering BAS program, which is available to international students.

How do these programs work together?
Many of the AI classes are available in multiple programs. If you want to maximize your AI learning, you have a few options:

  • Domestic students can start with the AI Full Stack certificate and continue with the 3-year Software Engineering BAS program.
  • Students who take the Business Intelligence Engineering AAS can easily transition to the Software Engineering BAS.

How much AI exposure will I get in the 3-year Software Engineering BAS?
The 3-year Software Engineering BAS includes five dedicated AI courses covering ethics, operations, product management, model training, and data pipelines. These are integrated into the program independent of the AI Full Stack Certificate.
